February is Restaurant Month on Chicago’s North Shore- Look for Discounts and Special Offers

Chicago’s North Shore Convention and Visitors Bureau (CNSCVB) once again presents its popular North Shore Restaurant Month. Modeled after the traditional restaurant week concept that is offered in major cities throughout the country, North Shore Restaurant Month takes things to an even greater level by featuring an entire month’s worth of exceptional dining offers rather than just one week.

North Shore Restaurant Month

From Wednesday, February 1 through Tuesday, February 28, close to 100 North Shore restaurants will be participating in North Shore Restaurant Month. During this time, restaurateurs will be offering a variety of specials and discounts including free appetizers or desserts, a percentage off the entire bill, prix fixe meals, 2 for 1 specials and much more. Several of the restaurants will also be featuring chef specials during lunch or dinner in celebration of the month-long event.

“The culinary talent on Chicago’s North Shore is unsurpassed,” said Gina Speckman, Executive Director of Chicago’s North Shore Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Not only do we have gifted and award-winning chefs, but the diversity of the cuisine that is offered in our region rivals any major city in the world,” she adds.

Guildhall Burger - Glencoe

Among those participating in this year’s North Shore Restaurant Month are local favorites Bistro Bordeaux (Evanston), Found Kitchen and Social House (Evanston), Francesca’s North (Northbrook), Kaufman’s Bagel & Delicatessen (Skokie), Tuscany (Wheeling), Guildhall (Glencoe), State and Main (Glenview) and Bob Chinn’s Crab House (Wheeling).

Mesa Urbana - Northbrook

During the past year, many new restaurants have opened on Chicago’s North Shore including Terra & Vine and Whiskey Thief in Evanston and Granite City Food & Brewery and Mesa Urbana in Northbrook. Lulu’s, an Evanston staple for over two decades closed in 2013, but reopened last year to much fanfare. All five of these new restaurants will be part of North Shore Restaurant Month 2017.

“North Shore Restaurant Month is a wonderful opportunity for the public to experience a new restaurant or return to some of their favorites,” adds Speckman, who noted that the number of participating restaurants this year is the highest it’s been since the culinary promotion first launched in February 2010. “With so many restaurants to choose from, there’s definitely something for everyone!”
