With childhood obesity on the rise, Revolution Foods offers healthy, fresh, mostly organic lunches. They pride themselves in not including high fructose corn syrup, trans fats or artificial ingredients in their meals.
Founded by two amazing Mom’s, Kirsten Tobey and Kristin Groos Richmond, Revolution Foods has partnered with Whole foods and other natural food providers to serve students (primarily in low-income, underserved communities) fresh, natural and mostly organic meals. Every meal is home-style, kid-friendly and includes a fresh fruit and vegetable.
Revolution Foods prides themselves on using only professional chefs to create healthy, fresh and tasty school lunches that serve urban schools throughout the Bay Area, Los Angeles and San Diego. They also provide schools nutrition education and hold interactive health-fairs to educate parents, students and stakeholders on the value of eating healthy meals.
Parents and educators have witnessed firsthand, that students who eat a nutritious meal for breakfast and lunch perform better in school and are less likely to disrupt the classroom!
