HarrysButtons-Improves the Lives and Futures of Individuals Living with Autism

Every day is Autism Awareness Day and at HarrysButtons dreams do come true for students and clients at Easter Seals. HarrysButtons is a micro-enterprise that improves the lives and futures of individuals living with Autism by providing vocational training and meaningful employment opportunities.

HarrysButtons was founded in 2004 by Harry Engnell Sr. to improve the lives and futures of individuals with Autism by providing opportunities for structured, production-type employment for his adult son, Harry Jr., and his peers. The program was brought to Easter Seals Autism Therapeutic School and Adult Vocational Program in Tinley Park in July 2008. The Engnell family donated the micro-enterprise to Easter Seals Metropolitan Chicago in 2010. HarrysButtons at Easter Seals now has two locations – Tinley Park and Chicago – providing meaningful opportunities for over 40 individuals through Easter Seals Autism Therapeutic Schools and Adult Vocational Programs.

HarrysButtons at Easter Seals manufactures custom buttons, magnets and keychains. These products are handmade by individuals living with Autism. We offer high-quality, affordable products and services with fast-turnaround and 100% satisfaction guarantee. In addition to creating custom promotional products, our highly-skilled, efficient team also provides a wide array of cost-effective services. Over the years, HarrysButtons has had the opportunity to partner with several local businesses along with having local union support.

Individuals with Autism are trained and supported to be productive, successful and confident members of society through employment at HarrysButtons. Meaningful, individualized positions are created for our team and they are involved in all levels of the micro-enterprise.
