Xante, Cognac With A Sweet Pear Twist
Description: Xante, this Cognac-based pear spirit was originally created in 1894 by Richard Heinrich and his family in the Alsace region of France. Today it is still made by the same family recipe. Xante is a blend of cognac matured for four years in French Limousine oak, which gives it a rich amber color and a hint of vanilla flavor. The noteworth spirit has been popular in Europe for decades and is a staple in the various royal courts. The Crown Princess of Sweden even served Xante to guests attending her wedding recently. It is highly recommended to serve Xante - neat, as is, chilled in a cognac snifter, or as a low calorie drink (only 35 calories for 1.5 oz) topped with lemon/lime soda and a proper squeeze of lime.
