7 Heavenly Chardonnay

Michael-David Winery's 7 Heavenly Chardonnay

Description: Michael-David Winery, based in California’s Lodi wine region, has released the 2008 vintage of its 7 Heavenly Chardonnay, which it’s produced since 2001. 7 Heavenly Chardonnay is the sister bottling to the winery’s widely acclaimed 7 Deadly Zins. The new bottling offers a fresh new look on the outside, but the same consistent quality that consumers have come to know on the inside. The new 7 Heavenly Chardonnay label design was created by Lodi based firm, 6 West Design. Previously, the bottle was clear glass with logos and images floating across the front of the bottle. Stylistically, the new bottle features a white band across the bottom of the bottle, which fades into a cloud-like image around the sides of the bottle. Gold lettering and sky-blue accents, along with a white foil capsule, give the new label a cleaner, brighter and more sophisticated look. Inside the bottle, the 2008 7 Heavenly Chardonnay ($16) begins with aromas of mango, pineapple and vanilla. The wine has crisp flavors of light lime and a touch of butter. The oak treatment on this wine is apparent, but not over the top. Made with 100% Chardonnay, the wine was aged for 14 months in French oak.
