Los Angeles’ own Chef Susan Feniger has been named among the country’s Top 15 Badass Women Chefs by The Daily Meal.
Today’s professional kitchens are still largely male-dominated, rough and tumble worlds where long hours are expected, and extreme mental as well as physical endurance is a must. To celebrate the ladies that have chopped their way to success, The Daily Meal—the site that houses all things food and drink—has named the Top 15 Badass Women Chefs in America. The feature honors the women who have worked their way up the culinary ladder, while continuing to cook and do exactly what they want.
What makes Feniger badass? The last woman standing in the second season of Top Chef Masters, Feniger is regarded as an authority on Latin cuisine and street food. She's an exuberant personality who starred on the cooking show Two Hot Tamales long before celebrity chefs started dominating the TV world.
