The inaugural Cancun-Riviera Maya Wine & Food Festival held in 2012 was a resounding success and the event did not rest on its laurels. Looking at what they have in store for 2013, they clearly are looking to one up themselves. This year the theme is "Europe meets the Americas” and will be celebrating Italy and its most admired Chef, Massimo Bottura, taking place from March 14th through March 17th.
The combination of world-class chefs and sommeliers to go along with the breathtaking setting of Riviera Maya make this a truly one-of-a-kind event. While wine and food along with personalities help to make this a unique event, the setting really sets this apart from other wine and food events that you will find in the rest of the world. Cancun and Riviera Maya provide guests with one of the most beautiful and travel friendly areas in the entire world. When you aren’t enjoying the Cancun-Riviera Maya Wine & Food Festival there are endless activities and events that will help make this the trip of a lifetime for you.
“Anchored in Cancun & Riviera Maya, our “essence” is to discover and showcase the best of Mexico and the “Americas’ continent” from Canada to the tip of South America: innovative culinary talents, signature dishes & unique ingredients, acclaimed wineries, premium spirits & delightful gourmet products,” festival founder David Amar said. “This is an exclusive “boutique” gourmet and lifestyle festival, we will offer our guests a fun and easy interaction with our celebrities: chefs, sommeliers, and winery owners.”
As wine and food festivals throughout the world gain popularity, the size of the events continue to grow and that is what separates the Cancun-Riviera Maya Wine & Food Festival according to David. The event itself is limited to about 5,000 people total and most events have a certain number of tickets, making sure that you get the full experience of the event.
