Mercedeh Allen was born in 1987 in Berkeley, Ca, and spent her childhood years in San Francisco. She began as a child model, and booked many jobs (Mervyn’s, Good Guys, Adidas, Hornblower, etc.), so her mother wanted to expand her career by moving to a bigger market.
It was between New York and Los Angeles, and Mercedeh picked Los Angeles so she wouldn’t be as far from her loved ones. At 12 years old, Mercedeh moved to Los Angeles, and booked several commercials including AT&T, Lincoln/Mercury, Bell South, etc.
In her high school years, she attended a Performing Arts School, Hamilton High School, and majored in drama. Also throughout those years, she booked a movie titled “Uncle P”, starring Master P, Lil’ Romeo, and herself. The movie was expected to hit theatres, but was shelved for years, until New Line decided to release it straight to DVD.
The movie still airs on networks such as BET and TvOne. After high school, Mercedeh was accepted to a few Cal State Universities, but decided to take a year break. She then decided to attend Los Angeles Valley College to study Radio Broadcasting, where she earned a certificate in the field.
The certificate has allowed her to intern at Freemantle Media for a semester, and she is currently interning at 102.3 KJLH. She is also currently studying at Marki Costello’s hosting class to become a host. With knowledge in acting, broadcasting, hosting, and modeling, Mercedeh is still working toward her dream of doing what she loves - - entertaining.
