Using the forthcoming novel of the same name by Jonathan Ryan (to be published October 15, 2013 by Premier Digital Publishing), you have the opportunity to create something that can propel your career forward.
Los Angeles based Premier Digital Publishing, a leading innovator in eBooks, enhanced eBooks, and interactive content, ranks among the country's top suppliers of quality print and eBook entertainment has gotten together with Gandolfo-Helin Literary Management, with offices in New York, Los Angeles, Louisville and Vancouver, Canada, to conduct this competition. They teamed up with industry veteran Steve Ecclesine, author of So You Want To Be A Producer, has produced 14 films and 700 television shows for Warner Brothers, Sony, Universal, Disney, HBO, CBS, ABC,Fox, NBC and many other independent production companies.
In the story, Aidan Schaeffer, a young assistant pastor, struggles with his faith and the hypocrisy of the church. However, when his ex-finance becomes the first victim in a series of ritualistic killings, Aidan realizes that he's in a deeper fight. Tormented by the demons and spirits, the pastor investigates Amanda's death even as supernatural forces attack those around him. The more questions he asks, the more he's drawn into the mysterious world of the Anglican priest, the paranormal investigation group and the rouge female detective as they seek answers. The gruesome murders escalate and secrets long hidden threaten to tear his world apart.
There are two ways to enter. 1) Create a film adaptation trailer from the novel or 2) select and film one scene from the novel.
Finalists will be voted on by the top industry professionals. Besides Steve Ecclesine, other judges include top industry professionals as Michel Shane (I, Robot and Catch Me If You Can); Sam Alexander of Warner Brother's Mark Wolper Organization; Wendy Kram, Television and Movie Producer; Thomas N. Ellsworth, Publishing Entrepreneur and Author; Jessica Cameron, Scream Queen; Serita Stevens, Award winning author and screenwriter as well as Jonathan Ryan, author of the book; Italia Gandolfo, founder of the Gandolfo-Helin Literary Management team.
Grand prize includes round trip air fare from anywhere in the US or Canada to Los Angeles; Three nights hotel accommodation; a personal behind the scene tour of Warner Brothers studio; a personal meeting with Sam Alexander, Director of development for the Wolper Organization; and introductions to leading managers and agents for possible representation opportunities. First runner up receives state of the art digital camera and video editing software as well as a personal Skype consultation with Steve Ecclesine.
