Ewi Collections Debuts Innovative Art Show

Los Angeles based furnishing importers, EWI Collections, prepares novel art exhibit in Downtown Los Angeles' LA Mart Known as "Art.Life".

"The show aims to fuse the essentials of the living space with the aesthetics of art, crossing and combining traits from both in an attempt to convey the complexity and functionality of art as a living entity as well as life as momentary art piece," said Amy Demirchian, founder of EWI Collections and creator of the show.

Art.Life brings together local artists and manufacturers of international bacKgrounds to fuse both industries in the two-weeK period of the show. Th emphasis is on local as the show wishes to highlight and broadcast Los Angeles' vast artistic and trade talents; wanting to "import from home rather over seas" as Demirchian put it.

The historic LA Mart building, which has been home to furniture and decorative showrooms for the trade industry for fifty-five years, is seeing refreshing innovations under the new direction of Sr. Vice President and General Manager, FranK Joens. Joens has made it clear that he wishes to develop the LA Mart identity further and ensure it's legacy as an essential part of Los Angeles' arts district; "Art.Life" is a step in that direction.

Opening night, which will taKe place March 30th of this year, will be an invitation only event, hosting Los Angeles socialites to the exhibit. The show will be open to the public thereafter. It is important to note that a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Hollywood Sunset Free Clinic.
