Endowing taste to tastemakers scavenging LA for an evening with dualistic intentions, Untapped Fashion & Music conceived its latest prodigious affair on September 19th, 2012; setting itself apart from the multitude of stifling club venue, ticket driven events calling themselves fashion inclusionary. PR Guru Goddess Jordana Hazan of Untapped Movement hosted the occasion, paying tribute to novel fashion and astonishingly accomplished music in Los Angeles with live photo installation, multiple performances, and a DJ who kicked audibles into overload at Sur Lounge from 8 to 11pm.
Her concept as genuine as her personality, Hazan has chosen the hottest venue in West Hollywood to systematize a fixated fashion event smoldering with distinction. Spawning global domination in pursuit of bursting the seams on territorial conditions dissuading brands and music from entry, Untapped Fashion & Music fetches the undiscovered whilst simultaneously celebrating renown accomplices for a deviant evening satiated with individuality and talent. SUR Lounge welcomed guests with open armed doors; the night flaring out into adjoining restaurant and spilling onto beckoning street beyond where mid-boulevard acrobatics caught air and valet proffered up the Range Rovers, doors open.
Sam Sarpong was out and in fast fashion, paparazzi in tow for a red carpet that stretched throughout the entire lounge and lasted twice as long. Snatching the mike with Keyvous of The League, Sam Future Sarpong licked out the lyrics to his solo debut album, “Muzik of tha Future.” Hitting off Exzek’s stride of performance, not playback; Future served it hot and stadium heavy to a crowd seeping elation with “On One,” “Loose My Mind” and “Model Man” Second set for the settling down whilst hyping VIP, friends, and socialites in chorus was Elias Reidy smashing out the vocals in a mix of old school, high ride soundtrack compilation covers from the likes of Sublime. Reidy, formerly of Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, performed to a smattering of catcalls and hard applause taking the tone to a level the neighbors appreciated, with swooned vocals and smooth acrylic melodies covering alternative classics from the 90s. The most dynamically interpretative faction was DJ Exzek whose set lasted four solid hours and called all hands to mixer deck for performance that reminds sound engineers that in the end, the track is best mixed live. Stretching talents to include auxiliary, Exzek extended a freshened surge of digital to Reidy’s acoustic set.
SkyFish Swimwear swam the aerial sea to cross coasts for its Los Angeles debut. Based in both LA and New York, SkyFish inspires more than swimming in high-end luxury cuts of the finest Italian fabrics enriched with “quality controlled precision hardware.” The lure is in the lines drawn on the inception of marine life and beach opulent shore side living for a preview of their boyfriend collection, popping it up proper courtesy of Barry Biddle (Motivo Studios) photo installation.
Listing it rightly in the who’s who of fashionable attendance; Ian Bohen ("Teen Wolf"), Jill Wagner (Actress, "Wipe Out"), Trevor Penick & Erick Michael Estrada (O Town), Kalon McMahon ("The Bachelorette”/”Bachelor Pad"), Justin Joyce (Musician/Songwriter).
