Fashion, music and art merged on June 19th 2012 for the ultimate event of the summer…Project Ethos at Avalon. Buyers, media and consumers were exposed to artistic expressions of the highest creative caliber. Project Ethos undoubtedly revolutionizes the way people observe fashion, art and music through live shows and the world wide web.
Exclusive guests walked a red carpet that lead to a lavish VIP area where they were able to mix and mingle with other VIP insiders. At 8pm, fashion aficionados, music lovers and art connoisseurs were all ushered into the main room for the commencement of the show. Front row seats were decorated with lavish gift bags for attendees, which included reps from Tom Ford, the Dolan Group, Art Pic LA along with TV personalities and a number of celebrity stylists.
The show began with burst of color and visually intoxicating collections of menswear, womenswear and accessories. Onlookers sat in amazement while designer’s creative ideas were transformed into vibrant fabrics displayed by attractive models with hair and makeup styled by TNT. Emerging designers Lauren Stucky (Lauren Stucky), Camiille Liim (Camille Liim), Noah Landis (Kent Denim), Candice Wu (Candice Wu Couture), Nausheen Gilkar (Sheen), Brenna Hoffman (XYST) and Michail Sykianakis (Mihail Kian) brought the show to a roaring start with intelligent, edgy and innovative designs.
Like an exhilarating sugar rush, Project Ethos not only showcased creative fashion, but provided music and art for a sensory overload. Electronica duo Virtual Boy captivated the crowd with unique sounds during the fashion intermission. Throughout the venue live art from Lab Art’s Meex One, Felix, Septerhed and Philip Lumbang, exposed the brilliance of the creative mind through the evolution of live art.
For the second half of the fashion show, the audience was introduced to jaw dropping gowns and luxurious fabrics from Project Runway Alumni Bert Keeter, Gordana Gehlhausen and Michael Costello. Gasps were heard throughout the room as burst of light escaped expensive cameras, in an attempt to quickly capture the glamorous and elaborate gowns.
“After the show is the after party!” Charismatic DJ Caroline D’Amore reignited the room by creating heart thumping sounds that erupted through the speakers. The crowd danced wildly as machines exploded cool burst of air over the exhilarated crowd.
The electrifying after party hosted by Jin&Quinn featured dynamic dancers from LA Doll House, which opened for 10 Corso Colombo. The audience continued to rage on into the midnight hours while Taryn Manning spun as artist Flewnt took to the stage to create the ultimate Project Ethos inspired piece!
The widely anticipated event held at Hollywood hotspot Avalon was sponsored by Armand de Brignac. The posh lounge with décor by Savvy Flowers offered various indulgences, including signature fashion, music and art cocktails complimented by a dessert bar by Sweets and Treats. Unique and intricate wire artwork from Alexander Salazar Fine Art was projected against the walls and captivated the attention of guests.
