Metropolitan Fashion Week Hollywood - Oct 22-26, 2013

Splash Magazines is proud to be a sponsor of the first ever Costume Designers Week! The show will kick off with Metropolitan Fashion Week Hollywood taking place October, 22-26 2013. It will include designers in Motion Pictures, Television, Theater, and Opera with a series of dramatic shows. The closing Gala will be Saturday October 26, 2013, and include over 150 works of art created by national and international Costume Designers. All events will be held in the Pasadena City Hall.

Metropolitan Fashion Week 2013 Metropolitan Fashion Week (MFW) has selected the iconic Pasadena City Hall as the official setting for the Closing Gala and Runway Show, happening October 26th. The Crown Jeweled of Pasadena a favorite Hollywood filmmaker location from Charlie Chaplin’s Oscar-nominated 1940 film “The Great Dictator” to the current hit TV series “Parks & Recreation.”  

Eduardo Khawam is a Venezuelan producer and the Executive Director of Metropolitan Fashion Week which has branches in Bellevue, Seattle, Hollywood, San Francisco and Salt Lake City. He has produced world class events and worked along with Seattle Wine Awards, NASCAR events, Miss Universe pageant parties, the Breast Cancer Walk, Cirque du Soleil and the Los Angeles Film Festival among other events.

Metropolitan Fashion Week Closing Gala & Runway Show, Presented by CTL Wireless are excited to present a one of a kind, exclusive – runway show that celebrates the world of fashion designers and costume designers in the following categories:  Avant Garde, Period Time, Fantasy, SCI-FI and Contemporary.  Fifteen designers and over 150 works of art created by National and International Designers and Costume Designers will strut the MFW Runway Show & Closing Gala. This will be an amazing 95-minute show. Our unique show is presented by CTL Wireless, an emotional lifestyle brand that helps connect customers to the world through major nationwide networks, reaching more than 250 million people. This year, there is also a Cultural Heritage Celebration which includes a special segment celebrating the heritage of the Mexican holiday "Day of the Dead" (Día de los Muertos) where Mexican artist Latin Grammy Award singer Ana Bárbara will sing "The Weeping Woman" (La Llorona) with a dance performance by the actress and dancer Nitzia Chama.

On the Runway:  Special Appearance by Reality TV personality and spokeswoman Adrianne Curry. She is best known as the first winner of the reality television series America's Next Top Model.  


Over 150 works of art created by National and International Designers & Costume Designers will Strut the Runway Show & Closing Gala. Show will celebrate the world of designers and costume designers in the following categories: Avant Garde, Period Time, Fantasy, SCI-FI & Contemporary.

Gala Dress Code: Attendees of Metropolitan Fashion Week galas always contribute to the event’s ambiance!  Our Closing Gala & Runway Show is both an indoor and outdoor gala, so please dress accordingly.  It’s your chance to feature your fall and winter’s sophisticated coats, fashionable hats and scarves.  Suggested looks: Be inspired by creative Avant Garde styles.  Ladies: evening gowns or cocktail dresses; gentlemen: tuxedos, business suits or designer suits.  No one in jeans, tennis shoes, flip flops, shorts or baseball hats will be permitted at the show.

November 23, 2013 Metropolitan Fashion Week moves to Bellevue-Seattle for the 6th Annual Forbidden Fashion Show. In 2014 you can catch Metropolitan Fashion Week in Salt Lak City on March 26-29, and again in Bellevue-Seattle on April 26-May 3.
