Friday evening was all about sexy swimsuits showcased by the Salt Swimwear, Amour Luxury Swimwear, Stone Fox Swim and Mandalynn Swim. I was not able to attend and missed the show. However, I did attend Saturday and Sunday evening fashion shows.
On Saturday October 19, 2013, some of the featured designers were Nicole Lee, Aamber Aleyna, Nathanaelle Couture, Choe Evangeline and Piper Gore. The models walking down the runway showcased some seriously flirtatious and utterly feminine styles. Below please see some of my favorite looks.
As for me, fashion is all about having fun and trying out different styles and so I did what I do best –styled my “Tres Fab” red carpet looks. So, for Saturday’s ensemble, I was brave enough to wear a pink puffy tutu and a black t-shirt with Carrie Bradshaw’s picture in the front and “Sex and the City” printed in the back. The other reason why I wore “pink” tutu was for the October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month to support "Sima’s Wish" benefiting National Breast Cancer Awareness. This fun, feminine and fashionable tutu trend has been highly popular throughout time. First, it was introduced by the Madonna at her MTV performance in the 1980s. Later, Actress Lara Flynn Boyle attended Golden Globe Awards in 2003 wearing a pink ballet outfit paired with pink slippers. Followed by, Avril Lavigne, who wore a black tutu on one of her music album covers. Other celebrities who played up the tutu trend were Rihanna, Katy Perry, Lauren Conrad and etc… So anyway, I paired my wardrobe with a pink Juicy Couture crystal ballerina heels. My make-up was very natural glowing thanks to Valentina’s MedSpa’s Red Carpet Facial. I’ve applied rose-pink lipstick shade on my lips for the ultimate girly and youthful results and awavy blonde locks to complete my look.
Being one of Hollywood’s best trendsetter of beauty and fashion, my Sunday evening’s look was completely different then the one from Saturday. I opted for an edgy and fierce vogue style. I paired my short neon Etro trouser with a sophisticated black shoulder-high Bicci blazer. The black open-toe booties that I wore were super comfortable and I totally rocked walking the red carpet while, holding onto my crystal studded Christian Dior handbag. I sported a side –swept straight hairstyle for a sophisticated finish inspired from GlamourMagazine. My beauty look was completed with heavily – lined eyes, glowing high cheek bones and nude lips.
Carissa Rosario aka “Barbie out of a Box” who’s been best known for her International Maxim feature, GQ, FHM and Vogue joined me at the L.A. Fashion Weekend’s Sunday show. She looked gorgeous in her open-back tight black dress styling her hair in a high bun.
This year L.A. Fashion Weekend’s Haute Couture show was a sizzling affair with models walking down the catwalk with confidence showcasing retro-glam and Oscar’s red carpet fashion forward collections from Unique Vintage, Le Mali Designs and Shail K. The show kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to see and witness more fresh looks. Below please see some of my favorite looks.
Fashion buyers, fashion stylists and the rest of the fashionistas and fashionistos had a greatopportunity to witness the upcoming trends for the Spring 2014 at the Sunset Gower Studios with The Gallery LA. Needless to mention, L.A. Fashion Weekend featured great exposure for its designers with the local, national and international press. L.A. Fashion Weekend is the BEST place to be during LA Fashion Week!
