This time Franco hosted his own independent fashion show and I must say he did considerably superb while other designers shared a runway during Los Angeles Fashion Week. His debut was greeted by the pool side with an overwhelmingly positive response from press, buyers, celebrities and fashion stylists in attendance.
Franco's spectacular collection provided a full wardrobe for men and women. The “Flor de Aqua” collection reflects his personal aesthetic sensibility, inspired from vintage photography, music and fashion books. The self taught designer served up one of my favorite Los Angeles fashion shows of the season for his intricate and sculptural men’s and women’s suites. I definitely foresee Anthony Franco men’s sleek suites worn by celebrities like Brad Pitt, Justin Timberlake, Will Smith, and Jaimie Foxx.
The brand has been featured in Vogue, Bazaar, Esquire, Flaunt Magazine, GQ, Society, Beverly Hills Lifestyle and other top publications. Some of his celebrity clients include Kelly Osborne, Zac Efron, Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntignton-Whiteley, Francine Joy Drecher, and George Kotsiopoulos from Fashion Police.
For Anthony Franco’s fashion show I decided to go for a versatile and feminine look. I chose to wear a one-shoulder vintage dress with a slit on the right side . To soften this look, I accessorized my blonde hair with a golden turban around my head complementing my half gold-black gown. Streamlining, the garnished turban reminded me of Old Hollywood’s beauty and elegance era; The 20s, 40s, and 60s, when it was worn on the cover of Vogue and stars like Sophia Loren and Elizabeth Taylor continuing this trend by current designers like Anna Sui and Prada.
