On June 2nd fashion enthusiasts gathered rooftop at 1010 Wilshire to attend EXPOSED, an invite only party and fashion show. As the elevator doors by passed the 15th floor and slowly emerged to the roof, guest grew excited as the music raged on the other side of expensive steel doors. Guests were ushered into a spacious area surrounded by glass providing views of skyscrapers which stood like protective giants surrounding downtown Los Angeles. The open lounge area housed a chrome DJ booth, a sprawling open bar and inviting couches with plush pillows. Guest sipped chilled cocktails, danced and mingled to the latest tracks before the fashion show.
VIP guest were immediately ushered to the top level’s poolside private tables and bottle service with a separate DJ. At 9:00pm the second level was filled to capacity with people sitting around the glowing turquoise pool in anticipation of the show.
First collection shown was Fancy Swimwear by Liz Luque. The collection is defined as avant-garde swimwear that is classy, sexy and spontaneous. Designs ranged in various styles with luxurious embellishments. Certain suits possessed seductive cutouts that would be best for exotic vacations, while other suits had lavish broaches attached that could be fashionable worn at a yacht party.
The second collection was Pheenix by Sheree Mason. The women’s wear collection was comprised of pieces that were both stylish and unique. The collection was versatile with high waist pants, sheer blouses and sequin skirts that are perfect for an evening outing. Also viewed were floral mini dresses and floor length Maxi’s that can be worn while indulging in delicious lunches in the city. The men’s wear collection from Pheenix was youthful and fun with an array of patterns and designs on tank tops and dress shirts.
Before the debut of the third collection, guests were surprised with a special performance by season 2 finalist of The Voice, Jesse Campbell. The crowd danced along and cheered while fashion journalists discussed some of their favorite pieces of the evening.
The last collection of the evening was the Jesse J Collections by Jesse J. This collection was vibrant and bold with thigh high slits and intricate details that excited the crowd, reminiscent of artwork as the clothing came alive in various shapes and colors. Jesse J merged soft feminine fabrics with heavier materials that translated as “the good girl with sex appeal.”
Fashion enthusiasts were undoubtedly EXPOSED to unique, bold and youthful designs that are sure to make a splash on the scene.
