Costume Designers Week Hollywood will celebrate the world of costume designers in Motion Pictures, Television, Theater and Opera in a week of dramatic Fashion/ Pageant Shows. After our success with Goddesses of Glass Fashion Show and Metropolitan Fashion Week Bellevue-Seattle, we are excited to present the first ever- and only one in existence– “Costume Designers Week Hollywood”. The Costume Designers Week Hollywood Launch consists of two, exciting events. We will begin the festivities on May 11, 2013, with the Press Conference and sneak preview of our Costume Designers’ Creations entitled, “Metamorphosis.” On May 11th, our event begins at 7:30pm at the For The Stars Showroom, located at 7558 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles, California, 90046. The event will feature the latest work of National and International Costume Designers Sean Puruker, Amanda Holser, Swig Miller, Kicka Custom Design, ROCKY GATHERCOLE ATELIER as well as a Special Presentation by MYTH Mask. Be the first to see the exclusive, hand painted costume designed for our advertising campaign by Italian Costume Designer Marzia Paparini and Artist Fabio Gianpietro; both will be flying in from Italy to join us.

Our kick-off celebrations will continue with the Joe Blasco Makeup Metamorphosis Project on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at 6:30pm, at Joe Blasco Make-up Artist Training Center Hollywood, located at 1670 Hillhurst Avenue, Los Angeles, CA, 90027. Come witness and partake in a night of true transformation, as Joe Blasco Makeup School morphs guests into works of art, as only seen in the movies. Attendees may choose to participate as a model, become a make-up artist or simply observe and watch the magic unfold!! This will certainly be a night to remember.

The Costume Designers Gala Show will take place October 24, 2013. The show will include: over 150 works of art created by national and international costume designers, a special tribute to Bond Girls presented by ADICORA Swimwear, a presentation of the Costume Designers Life Achievement Award and live performances by one of Los Angeles’ Top Symphony Orchestras. A percentage of the proceeds will benefit The Hollywood Museum, located in the Historic Max Factor Building. About Metropolitan Fashion Week (MFW) is a set of premier fashion shows and experiences that offer multiple live events over the course of six to ten days in Bellevue-Seattle, Washington (the fourth largest fashion market in the US), Hollywood, California (specifically for costume designers), and in Salt Lake City, Utah.

MFW was created to provide a platform for fashion designers and costume designers to present their collections and creative work to regional and international media, buyers, entertainment industry professionals, producers, directors, shoppers and fashionistas. The events are held in dramatic, non-traditional venues that showcase not only each region's best clothing or costume designs, but the most beautiful venues each city has to offer as well. Explore each city's webpage for more information about Metropolitan Fashion Week, follow MFW on Facebook, Twitter (MetroFashionW), Instagram #metropolitan_fashion_week and contact us for information about entering, or attending a Metropolitan Fashion week near you.
