One clear identifier of the start of LA Fashion week is the endless throttle of events that are partnered with all things related to beauty, fashion, charitable cause, and celebrity appeal.  One such event that packed all these elements into one fabulous spectacle was the Unite Unveiled Presents Fresh Faces of Fashion held at the luxurious Skybar at the Mondrian.

Hosted by MTVs Laguna Beach Alum and current Hills co-star, Kristin Cavallari, Unite Eurotherapy partnered with Gen Art and One Kid One World to pub the opening of Fresh Faces in Fashion at the Rock Fashion Week.

Rock Fashion Week will take place October 29th through the 31st at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles.

Designers were announced

Combining European creativity and American ingenuity, Unite Eurotherapy is a comprehensive professional line of hair care products currently being carried at fine salons internationally.  The line is comprised of 25 different shampoos, conditioners, styling, and finishing agents.  It totes the ability to keep your hair looking incredible and healthy in any climate and during any season. Celebrity stylists were on hand during the evening to show their support for the line of products that have helped to change images in more ways than one.

Changing ones appearance wasn’t the only change marketed during the night.  Kristin Cavallari highlighted the generous donation of $5000 given to the One Kid One World.  One Kid One World is an education and sports based grassroots organization that has aimed to partner with high school students in rural areas and children in refugee camps in war torn, poverty-stricken areas of the world. It is there goal to bring awareness to how kids live and thrive and what can be done to support one another in the process.  “It is not every day that you can an eye view into another region of the world,” states Calvallari.  “It is through One Kid One World that we are able to take our eyes off of the way kids are living here in rural America and abroad.”

Sometimes the struggles of the world go unnoticed until someone or something manages to bring it to the forefront of our thoughts.  This is due in part to our own daily struggles to make it in a world that is often waiting to chew us up and spit us out.  Daily struggles of making in the world of fashion aren’t new to most of the Fresh Faces of Fashion introduced during the night.  One designer that can attest to this is Alicia Lawhon who was invited to be a part of Rock Fashion Week. Lawhon whose celebrity clientele includes Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Aniston, Ellen Barkin, Beck,Maria Bello, Elizabeth Berkeley, Cher, Courteney Cox, Laura Dern, Hilary Duff, Lisa Edelstein, Jenna Elfman, Linda Evangelista to name a few started her career as a dresser for Ron Herman/Fred Segal.  Now she has her own line called Reclaimed where she reinvents Hollywood style during the rebellious early 80s.  Lawhon also infuses her Mexican culture into her line.

Guests of the Unite Unveiled event, which included OC Housewife Gretchen Rossi and Dancing with the Stars Derek Hough, and Cheryl Burke were introduced to Lawhon and other designers that will be a part of the largest and most recognized program showcasing emerging designers in the United States. They also got to enjoy complimentary cocktails from SVEDKA and listen to the sounds of infamous DJ Tina T. MTVs Tila Tequilla even made an apperance admist the current drama she is going through with NFL star Shawne Merriman.

The Mondrian Hotel was the place to be the night of the event. Walking out of the Skybar, I even ran into newlyweds Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian.
