LASplash.com: Style and Fashion Tulle & Cloth Logic Spring 2009 Collection Review - When Vintage meets Modernity By Tharry Toeun Tulle & Cloth Logic joined forces in their Spring 2009 collection, bringing us a fresh new look of retro-cool style on Thursday night of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Tulle is a line famous for their affordable, vintage-inspired garments and Cloth Logic is known for its trendy, modern men’s apparel.
Jennifer Smith, Anoushka Alden, and Leon Shpayer, designers of the two labels certainly made the perfect team as their featured line focused on urban, past and present styles that define the casualty of American clothing for young fashion hipsters. With fantastic use of teal, avocado, mustard, and gray, the great selections of daytime clothes included vests, skirts, v-necks, and dresses. The trendy pieces have in them a nice touch of retro that nowadays seem vastly desirable amongst new trendsetters.
The mixture of big, bold colors was definitely fun to watch. As Tulle and Cloth Logic paired a bright yellow cardigan with a salmon pink top or paired striped socks with flat ballet flats, the collection verifies that there are no rules to fashion. The designers truly know how to play with colors and patterns, bringing the audience to new appreciation of mixing and complimenting different types of daring designs. More exciting pieces take expression in bold hues of tangerine, silver, navy, and lilac.
For the men’s line, we see the definitive of preppy: everything from fitted t-shirts, skinny pants, sleeveless sweaters, long cardigans, and soft-hue vests. A signature appearance was the rolled up jeans where the cuffed length sit just above the ankles—this approach is rapidly becoming a staple look for spring.
Tulle and Cloth Logic are two incredible collections offering all of spring’s must-have items. Whether you are looking for a practical and timeless trench jacket, a simple retro top, or a modern skinny bottom, be sure to check out Tulle and Cloth Logic!
