Based in Brighton, known in the UK as 'London by the sea', Jane Postlethwaite AKA The Brighton Fashion Stylist is a 25 year old Fashion stylist whose work does not just rest with Styling it involves Photography, Make-up and Modeling.

Gaining her BA(hons) degree in Textiles for Fashion specialising in Printed textiles at the highly recognised Winchester School of Art, Jane learned all about different aspects of fashion. Her final collection involved sponsorship from Swarovski who supplied her with crystals to adorn her prints and stitched jewellery. Throughout her degree in textiles she also did some modelling but always put education first.

After graduating she set up her own business in her parents home in The Lake District designing and making jewelry which then led to her supplying Indian lampwork beads online with the business 'Bella Sapphire'.  After moving to Brighton permanently in 2006, after deciding Fashion Styling was her dream job, she teamed up with noted photographer Chris Gloag which led to them becoming work colleagues and friends to form a design team working on photo shoots for editorials and other projects. Chris and Jane both appear in the up and coming Woody Allen film, starring Ewan Mcgregor, which had some scenes filmed on Brighton Pier.

Through working in front of the camera and behind increases the skills needed to produce a great photo shoot. The skills picked up not only include Fashion styling but include make-up/hair styling, directing models in posing, and most importantly photography. Although living in Brighton work spans in the areas all around and up into London.

'I love the whole process of the photo shoot from preparing clothes/locations to shoot day dressing and doing make-up. Its always great to get back the finished images as it makes you forget the hard work that's until you have to do it all over again the following week for something completely different.'  The Brighton Fashion stylist runs a myspace page which showcases previews of her work and is a gateway to advise younger people wanting to know about the industry and what is involved.

The people who have been supported so far are Waffles & Falafels, Tivi wear, and LAFCO which is group of creatives including Tao Ruspoli who make films, music and produce amazing photographs.  Jane is currently involved in the Smashbox model competition which could win her a trip to L.A.
