Belted shirt dress and wooden accents started off the show

Hoda Mallone, creative director of the
Eco-Ganik Collection, presented her new eco- friendly line at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week with much success. Her environmentally conscious designs and savvy sense for wearable chic could be seen throughout each one of Mallone’s pieces. In keeping with the “
going green” trend, Eco-Ganik takes extreme pride in keeping each and every aspect of their clothes as organic as possible. Simple jersey knit tops to woven tunic dresses look better than the average collection ever could.

Simple and chic white dresses and skirts made their way down the runway
|
A California based company, Eco-Ganik tries it’s very best to ensure that all materials are eco- conscious. Instead of elaborate embellishments, designs employ simple trims and low impact dyes to enhance color. Some of Hoda Mallone’s looks are even accented with wood, nuts, and shells to stay closer to natural products rather than mass produced beading. The fashion designer partnered up with the
Organic Trade Association and the
OTA Fiber Council Committee to ensure that her ensembles stayed true the environment, while still looking chic enough for the working woman.

Pops of red are perfect for a versatile and stylish look
|
The show began with upbeat music from the
Ting Tings, while models walked out in comfortable, versatile, and stylish designs.
Celina Gomez and
Sarah Paxton watched as belted shirt dresses and wood button tunics were paired effortlessly with tiered skirts and relaxed denim pants. Flowing white dresses were accented with woven belts and gorgeous patterns. Starting off on a more neutral palette of whites and nudes, the show took a turn to deep reds and flowery blues showcasing casual and sophisticated dresses and skirts.

Floral patterns livened up the organic collection
|
Each one of the ready to wear pieces was simple, yet chic and stayed true to their
eco- friendly roots. Versatile separtes were perfect for the hip and
urbane woman, at work or play. Hoda Mallone agrees that Eco-Ganik is the “go-to brand for any earth conscious, fashion savvy girl. We’re making the world a better place, one outfit at a time.” If I can look this chic and still be helping the environment… count me in.
