Skinny Jeans go high fashion
|
Los Angeles, California: August 27th 2006 Bread Denim, a premium line of designer apparel including skinny jeans and tees will debut in December 2007. Skinny Jeans are all the rage right now and although they have an expiration date on them-remember UGG Boots? They are currently favored by everyone from supermodels like Kate Moss to fashionable highschool girls. Thanks to the skinny jeans craze there are designers capitalizing on the trend by starting new denim companies strictly dedicated to skinny jeans. Despite what a 17 year old girl will tell you, skinny jeans are not a new trend. Think back to the 70's, when punk bands like the Sex Pistols and The Ramones were rocking skinny jeans with leather jackets and ripped t-shirts. Skinny jeans can be thrown on with a leather jacket, think Joey Ramone but instead of wearing ripped up shoes a girl can throw on a pair of ballet flats for a punk/classic look. The look could be called "Jackie Kennedy on crack".

Kate Moss loves skinny jeans! That means that you should too!

Bread Denim was started by three lads named Jason Ferro, Sun Choe and Clark Barnett. The three up and coming designers collectively shared many years of experience working for corporate denim and fashion companies including hugely successful brands Levi's and True Religion. The trio decided to form their own line of premium clothing but prior to launching Bread, Jason Ferro felt that working for a corporate denim company limited his creativity. According to Jason 'It felt like the corporate shackles limit what you can express, even though they were giving me so much opportunity to express myself, this was my chance to really do everything MY way'. Ferro, Choe and Barnett decided in unison to free themselves from the corporate ball and chain by starting a new, fresh and ultra expressive new company, hence the name Bread.

Skinny Jeans look fabulous with ballet flats

Bread serves men's and women's pants, denim and tops but specializes in the ultra-stylish skinny jeans and includes unique styles such as 'The Predator Skinny Zip Jean' which features zippers from the ankle up to mid-thigh. Bread also takes the natural approach to apparel by using only the finest in organic cotton. While skinny jeans occasionally have a reputation for being uncomfortable, the use of stretch and organic cotton in Bread Denim make for a pleasant and easy fitting denim. The line has been picked up by celebrity frequented boutiques such as Fred Segal and the Atrium. Bread will unveil this holiday season.
