When I think of wine and beauty, for the most part I think of a nice glass of wine while I am having my hair done. I really can't say that the first thing to come to mind is the vino-based beauty line named d'vine. I do not blame you if you would not either. d'vine located in Waterloo, Iowa and is the first all wine-based skin and body care line. d'vine just began their initial introduction to the world at the 2006 Medical Spa and Sauna Expo in Los Angeles.

Skin Care Line

d'vine brings together wonderful blends of wine and the newest technology in the beauty industry. Merlots, Pinots, Cabernets and more, are all known to clam and soothe the mind, body and soul. d'vine's products contain fewer chemical preservatives then traditional skin care products and they include a higher percentage of botanical ingredients to fight free radicals, promoting elasticity, stimulate collagen production and improve the skins integrity while both nourishing and claming. d'vine caters to both men and woman of all skin types but emphasizes on sensitive skin. Dr. Richard Mauer, co-founder of d'vine stated, 'd'vine is the only complete line devoted to providing superior anti-aging and skin balancing effects derived from powerful wine and grape seed extracts.' d'vine's skin and body care products are even sensitive enough to be used with difficult to treat conditions such as acne and rosacea. d'vine is the most bioactive yet claming product line on the market today.

Petite Shirah

I had a chance to try out some of wonderful new products from this line. Each skin and body care product has its own wine name such as Petite Sirah Cleanser, Pinot Gris Serum, Sauvignon Blanc Serum, Chardonnay Gel and Pinot Blanc Cream.
Begin with the Petite Sirah Cleanser. lather face to remove excess oil without striping the skin of its natural protection and prepares the skin for the Zinfandel Scrub/ mask, which gently exfoliates when used as a scrub but can also be used as a mask. A fantastic aroma of wine and a dark burgundy red coloring all remind you of this products origin. Sensitive enough to be used with acne it leaves the skin feeling clean and soft. Then follow up with the Aperitif Hydrating Toner applied with a gentle cotton swap it introduces the importance of antioxidants to the skin. This helps to neutralize free radicals, increases tissue regeneration, and generally strengths the skin. Chablis Infusion is a fabulous moisturizing cream with a light and airy feel (not heavy and greasy like many others.) The Chablis Infusion contains several levels of Hyaluronic acids. Hyalurnoic acids have been proven to increase moisture by 300%. It also has been found to increase healing and be the primary water molecule in the skin's matrix and can bind up to 1,000 times its weight in water! Tuscany Serum is a highly fortified firming serum with therapeutic strength and complex anti-oxidants for skin and cell strength. The Glycine Soja and Whey Protein Powder provide instant firming and long-term nourishment with wrinkle reducing benefits. Last but not least, the Chenin Blanc Eye Serum to both sooth and strengthen the very gentle area around the eye.
All of these wonderful products left my face feeling soft, clean, hydrated and completely rejuvenated. To check out other products and receive more information on the brand new line of d'vine vino-based products, check them out online at www.dvinetherapy.com
