Spectrum Health Clubs Redondo in Redondo Beach celebrated the Tour of California and its new General Manager, Chase Taylor, with a hugely popular event. Its location and stunning facilities with a fantastic hospitality party to promote the health club, its center, and the spa. Quite simply, the food was basic picnic pleasures but never-ending, the atmosphere was marvelous, and the people were simply charming. Whoa almost forgot to mention the complimentary beer garden that never stopped pouring the traditional crowd favorite.

Spectrum Redondo is a spectacular club with breathtaking oceanfront views and offers something for everyone. Of course, there is state-of-the-art strength training and cardiovascular equipment, which has been placed in exactly the right position for you to enjoy the views of the ocean and the numerous yachts that have been docked in the harbor what a great way to workout this alone is its huge edge over other health clubs. One can enjoy the outdoor pool and Jacuzzi or just lounge around the pool and relax in the sun and enjoy those great views that last throughout the day, the sunset, and the evening. You may find yourself forgetting to do the other things that life brings to you. Spectrum Redondo also offers a full range of group exercise classes in a variety of studios as well as outdoor classes while your lungs can constantly be refreshed with those ocean breezes. There are great daily classes, fantastic customer service, free towels, and great trainers that truly care about you.
Nearly 1.2 million people witnessed the Tour of California and the final stage along the streets of Redondo Beach were packed with an appreciative crowd and a large portion of that crowd made its way into the open doors at Spectrum Redondo. From the moment one walked into Spectrum, they were greeted by a smiling staff, eagerly being helpful and accommodating, making sure that you felt at home. The word home is used as it was quite obvious that Spectrum prides itself in being family friendly, seeking to please everyone within the family, whether it be for the single family member or the entire family unit.

It should be noted that Spectrum periodically runs basketball and volleyball leagues complete with professional referees and scorekeeping. Leagues vary by age and skill level. Simply call the club or stop by Spectrum for details. It is a shame they do not have a baseball field as I am sure they could put on some great tournaments for that sport as well.

As the New Year has given way to spring, people sometimes forget their resolution about rededicating their lives to getting in shape. However, spring time is perhaps the best time to return to shape or find the shape you have always wished for in your life as this is truly the right time for new growth. Needless to say, personal fitness is the most popular resolution to kick off any year. This year was no exception to that desire to finally get in shape and the thoughts of walking with that perfect body exploded last January as people from all walks of life sought to improve their physical status. However, the resolution faded with the last days of winter. The reason for this failure is perhaps people never find the right home for this resolution. Spectrum Health Clubs offers that perfect home. This health club is that diamond in the rough. The Spectrum explosion has rocked the Los Angeles area with twelve clubs and caters to the serious fitness follower to someone who is venturing into the area for the very first time. For someone new to physical exercise, it is easy to become intimidated by the people who have been exercising for years. Picking the wrong health club only increases that intimidation, resulting in a membership that quickly ceases to be used. This is something that can not be helped because health clubs do come in many different variations. The nice thing about Spectrum is that there was not any sign of that intimidation and yet it offered everything for someone new to the seasoned fitness follower. At Spectrum, an exercise program can be started at the lower end, and feel like you truly belong, or the fitness follower can develop their routine at their increased level, and feel like they are being forever challenged. Spectrum is a neighborhood sports and fitness complex and includes the heated outdoor 25-yard pool, aqua aerobics, master swim class, swim lessons for adults and children, outdoor Jacuzzi, Yoga and Pilates Mat classes, Pilates Reformer studio, kickboxing and aerobics, outdoor lighted full basketball court, full range of cardiovascular equipment, lighted tennis court, separate steam and sauna, racquetball courts, personal training, massage, boxing studio, indoor golf range, free parking (yes, free parking by the ocean), a healthy cafe and juice bar (nutrition is very important to physical fitness and Spectrum offers personal guidance for each member), and a comfortable television lounge which provides the perfect space to relax and socialize after a grueling workout. Spectrum also provides a Kid's Club, where members can drop their kids off for babysitting while they workout. The club entertains the children with arts and crafts, books, educational games, engaging toys and storytelling. Children's swimming lessons are even available. It should be noted that the locker room amenities include towel service, shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, deodorant, hairspray, mouthwash, bath gel, and hair dryers. There are very few clubs that offer free towel service and these towels are constantly being cleaned. It is nice to note that the locker rooms have a clean smell - actually pleasant to enter, unlike at other clubs and their gym odor. Along with individual activities, there are numerous choices for team participation. One area that Spectrum can improve on is to add an outdoor golf range and they have several places that they could incorporate a range but that would make this club too perfect.

Something to consider is that Spectrum offers no long-term contracts so you are never locked into a club you wish you would never have joined in the first place. This is one fear that does not exist at Spectrum. In talking with the members, it was learned that many of them are longtime members and would not even think about giving up their memberships for another club or another program. Spectrum offers over one hundred group exercise classes in four different studios for adults. There is something for every taste. Spectrum also offers complimentary fitness evaluations every six weeks along with exclusive member parties and events. Spectrum prides itself in private training and personalized instruction by academically, and experienced, qualified and nationally certified fitness professionals. These professionals custom create workout programs. They use diverse training methods including strength training, cardiovascular, weight loss, and sports specific and post-rehab maintenance. They pride themselves on injury prevention awareness and focused personal attention. They make you feel like a star in this ocean-view location.

This event was staged by Spectrum's new General Manager, the charismatic Chase Taylor, who is also a certified fitness professional. Mr. Taylor was recently promoted to this position after a successful stint as Spectrum Canoga Park's Sales Manager. Even though Mr. Taylor had to see to the event and make sure that everything was in place and ready to go, he proved to be the gracious host and someone who cares about the individual. He was constantly reaching out to people and making sure they were feeling at home during this event and answering their questions and seeing to it that their needs were being met. Prior to the event Chase had the opportunity to encounter the sounds of Pet The Dog, and quickly invited the trio to provide the live entertainment for the Spectrum Hospitality Party and this proved to be a very wise decision as the group was an immediate crowd pleaser. It was also noticed that during the event Mr. Taylor had to make several important decisions and he did so with pure ease. It is easy to see why Spectrum Clubs rapidly promoted Mr. Taylor into his new role. Of course, the crowd was not aware of that. They were only aware of the fact that they were enjoying themselves at this event and that more beer kegs arrived at just the right moment.
Mr. Taylor's pleasant decision-making manner is something needed as both the General Manager and as a personal trainer. In picking a trainer, you want one who walks with confidence and Chase and his team of professionally trained fitness experts surely showed that this evening. Mr. Taylor explained that traditional training goes solely after muscle growth whereas the Spectrum training goes after muscle functionality and growth, which allows you to look and perform better. Chase will challenge you by creating what is referred to as 'unstable' fitness environments to excite the nervous system, causing you to expend more energy so that one burns more calories than one would in a typical workout. Chase mentioned how a trainer leads someone through workouts that simulate how the body actually performs in real life, so one can see improvements on and off the weight floor. Chase and his team of professionally trained fitness experts will design personal fitness routines that push balance, power, speed, coordination, flexibility, and core strength. He referred to Spectrum as the premier car of the health clubs. And, this is exactly what Spectrum delivers and Chase is perfect one to lead one towards their physical fitness goals.

This price beats the competition hands down. This gym is well worth any price for the membership, and a membership does allow one all access to any Spectrum Club anywhere.
