This Summer, Put Mighty Leaf's Tea on Ice

Whether you are planning a summer BBQ, a balmy evening soirée or just having some friends over to relax by the pool, it’s time to mix up some new and unique tea beverages that will have all your guests asking for seconds.  Mighty Leaf Tea makes tea new again this summer with a handful of refreshing recipes that make for an easy, summer escape.

For a more sophisticated presentation at your next summer gathering, try mixing up Mighty Leaf’s Chamomile Citrus Sangria and African Nectar Arnold Palmer using Mighty Leaf’s signature Tea on Tap.  The chic 16 oz iced tea carafe is uniquely designed with a shot glass stopper to hold syrup, fruit concentrate or garnishes, allowing your guests to add garnish and sweeten their tea to taste.

 

Green Tea Granita

Serves 3-5

6 Mighty Leaf Organic Spring Jasmine Tea Pouches

3 Cups water

4 Tablespoons honey

¼ Teaspoon ginger powder

A pinch of salt

Pour boiling water over tea pouches. Steep for 5-6 minutes.  Add honey, ginger, and salt to taste.  Stir until dissolved.  Pour into an 8x8 shallow pan and place in freezer.  Fluff mixture with a fork every 30 minutes until the mixture is fluffy and icy.  The granita should be ready to serve in 2 and 2½ hours.  Serve individual portions in margarita glass.
