Ralph Lauren’s Spring 2014 collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week was kicked off right with John Lennon’s “No Body Told Me” carrying the mod 60’s styles of this year’s collection. The show was held at the St. John Center Studios on Washington in the ultra trendy Tribeca neighborhood with 52 fresh looks for Spring 2014. Vogue editor Anna Wintour, whom I had the pleasure meeting, looked on point in a tweed suit with violet tinted shades, sitting front row. While Jessica Alba, opted for a free flowing, pink gossamer skirt and textured, black sweater.

The new Spring/Summer 2014 Ralph Lauren line represents original American style through veritable and vibrant tones like classic red, intense cobalt blue, illuminating orange, and vibrant yellow. This years spring collection runway was full of cropped wool crepe blazers and ultra posh minis. While leather trench coats in black and white combinations carried the look of the ensembles when paired with ultra sleek minis. This years’ runway look was complete with shiny, patent leather Mary Janes paired with knee-highs and oversized, yet trendy black sunglasses. Stark white, cotton canvas dresses and leather dresses stole the show, while jumpsuits kept it young and fresh. Plaid fabrics and calfskin leather school bags added a traditional element to the show while patent boots, and pumps added an edgy appeal to the new spring line.
