Edgy elegance closes out two-days of runway shows at The Grove
Having recently opened her Los Angeles flagship store, Katherine Kidd closed the two days of collections with her edgy and elegant Spring 2014 designs.
The front row of the private, invite-only runway show was packed with style-conscious urbanites and Ladies Who Lunch (and their tiny pooches, of course). DJ Niéna Drake kept the beats pumping.
Gift bags were filled with delicious Sprinkles Cupcakes, TOMS Designer Sunglasses discounts, a complimentary day pass to Stylehaus by Marina Monroe, and Katherine Kidd's Spring 2014 Manifesto/Designer Bio.
Katherine Kidd grew up in the south and spent her summers in Paris. She spent her younger years creating costumes and sewing dresses, dreaming of classic romances, studying romantic literature, reading biographies of notable women and enjoying period films.
The Katherine Kidd Spring 2014 Collection is a garden of bright delights. Neon greens and oranges pop from coy layered lace cocktail dresses. Simple sophistication and wearability come in the form of sleek, textured black and navy pant sets. A simple, yet beautiful large rose print was featured. Her finale was a flowing, shimmering, weightless strapless chiffon gown in the lightest of limes, sure to look lovely on women of all ages.
