La Salonniere. The French word for salons. And the name of Jenny Packham’s new Autumn/Winter 2013 Collection. No wonder I am in love. Paris in the 17th Century is the setting. And so the story goes - “Women gathered in these salons to discuss the arts, the philosophy of Voltaire and Descartes and to produce and shape the literature of their time,” according to the show notes. Jenny Packham is inspired by these salonnieres. And I am inspired by her splendid designs that create a fairy tale of wonder, elegance, and grandeur.

Foremost is a signature aqua-marine evening gown with shimmering sequins on a sheer neckline that mesmerizes and bedazzles. Shades of pinks to marines and ending in bold blacks. Sunrise to sunset.
