Giejo Swim

Introduction. . .

Giejo Swim is a swimwear created in the Spring of 2011 when designer Gabby Sabharwal once again found herself searching for the perfect summer swimsuit. Born out of frustration for the lack of fashion-forward prints and inspired cuts, Gabby took it upon herself to design and produce her own set of swimsuits to fit her personal style of effortlessly mixing prints, colors and patterns.

What’s the buzz about . . .

Giejo Swim is a unique line that allows the buyer to design her very own mix and match creation daily. The designer Gabby Sabharwal urges every Giejo Girl to model her bathing suit body while showing her creative side. The tops come in the following styles: Butterfly Bandeau, Bra Top, Triangle Top, and Multi-tie, and the bottoms come in the following styles: Mixed Boys Brief, Mixed Ruche (Side & Back), Mixed Side Tie, and Mixed High Waist. In addition to separates, Gabby just rolled out 3 different styles of one pieces with the mixed match theme.

One Piece

In Designer Gabby’s sophomore year with Giejo, she has collaborated with multiple designers to introduce beach cover ups, beach couture, and sunglasses! Her collection with Veda includes the Suspender pant, which fuses swimwear with high fashion, allowing the Giejo girl to relax and tan or party hard without requiring a trip to the room for an outfit change. Giejo swimwear, cover-ups, and sunglasses are the perfect addition to any resort location.

Why a must have for Summer 2013. . .

Gabby uses vintage, recycled fabric to create her suits giving them a retro vibe. The mixed matched theme allows a Giejo girl to devise a combination of top and bottom that perfectly fits her mood.

The author’s choice. . .

After extensively reviewing Giejo swimwear in Designer Gabby’s West Village studio, this Giejo girl recommends the bra top in graphic, the mixed high waist in stripe, Giejo X Veda zipfront jacket in lace, and the Giejo X KBL sheer trouble in blue/gold. These pieces can be styled together or separately. In particular, the zipfront jacket in lace can be worn to sophosticate any outfit when going from the beach to a restaurant, bar, or club during the day or night.
