The Bridgestone Potenza S001 tires were chosen to be fitted to the Nismo, to respond to the cornering, sporty handling and raw power of this V6 344-horsepower coupe, with a tailor-made rubber compound and wider 245/40R19 sizes on the front and 285/35R19 on the rear.
Already sold in the US and Japan, a unique specification of the 370Z Nismo has been developed to suit European road conditions and the taste of European driving enthusiasts. The 3.7L V6 delivers 344HP up from 328HP in the standard car and has received extensive engineering enhancements to heighten the European drive experience.
The wider Bridgestone tires not only put more rubber on the road for improved grip, they also distribute the car weight over a larger contact area, helping to control tire heat build-up caused by the extreme stress of sporty handling. Balancing safety with high performance, these Bridgestone tires provide the dry traction needed by a car that accelerates from 0 to 100kph in 5.2 seconds but also deliver a reassuring C grade for wet grip (A high, G low) on new EU labeling.
Nismo, abbreviated from Nissan Motorsports, is the line of performance sports models from Nissan Motor Company. The 370Z is the latest in a long line of Z sports cars manufactured by Nissan since the late 1960’s.
