The newest edition of Microsoft Office 2013 is a suite of productivity applications that includes: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, and Access. The applications in Office 2013 now support a cloud storage service, called SkyDrive, which allows users to view, edit, download, and share stored files from any computer with internet access. The suite applications work well on several devices including, but not limited to desktops, laptops, and tablets while having the touchscreen functionality supported if capable. The new office emphasizes clean design, large fonts, and the ability to think of what you could possibly need before you need it. Office Apps download, available are a new addition to Office 2013 as well. This allows you to install apps to add more functionality and third-party interaction to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more. There are several notable new features in Office 2013 while having a similar look and feel to Office 2010.

The new Read Mode in Word allows you to view documents as they would appear in a printed book. In the past you could save a Word document as a PDF file, but until now you could not edit a PDF in Word without converting it first into a different format. You can watch videos embedded within the document without having to leave Word if using a connected device. Word now bookmarks where you left off when you closed the document making it easy to find your last place in lengthy documents. You can also search popular photo-sharing sites for images and add the ones you like to your documents from within Word without needing to save them to your computer first.
Excel has a new feature called Flash Fill that auto-predicts the information you are typing in cells by analyzing patterns in the existing data. Viewing multiple spreadsheets has become easier since you can now have multiple workbooks open, each having a separate window. You can now easily create graphs and charts in Excel from selected data using the Quick Analysis Function.
The new features in PowerPoint give some updates for presentations. The new Presenter View, which allows you to preview slides and other information on a separate screen while giving a presentation. Enhanced media capabilities can play more video formats and provide optional background audio throughout the presentation.
Outlook now integrates support for third-party email accounts along with support for social media such as Skype and Flickr. Another feature, Peeks, allows you to view your calendar without leaving the inbox. You will also now see a few days of weather information appear on your calendar.
With no loss of functionality, your transition should not be too difficult. Although similar to Office 2010, the updated features in the core programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) make for a worthwhile upgrade. Microsoft Office 2013 is capable to run on any Desktop PC's and Tablets running Windows 7 or Windows 8 operating systems and also on Windows Server 2008 R2 or later. Users will be required to have at least 3.5 GB of free disk space in hard disk.
