Soolip Wedding 2005 was a unique bridal experience for the upscale, modern bride. Soolip Wedding 2005 presented Los Angeles' most distinctive bridal resources and featured a Monique Lhuillier and Harry Winston Fashion Show.
Soolip, L.A.'s premier paperie and press, presented the 6th annual A Soolip Wedding at the Hotel Figueroa in downtown Los Angeles. A modern bridal event, presenting a well-edited collection of L.A.'s unique and most distinctive bridal resources. From the highly recognizable to secret gems - all enabling the bride to create her most stylish yet personal wedding.
Not your average wedding show. A Soolip Wedding was a truly sense-ual experience. Elegant, stylish, and breathtakingly beautiful. A blissful treat for all your senses. No matter where you looked you could see some of the best wedding offerings Los Angeles has to offer. The founders of Soolip state that they wanted to create and welcome you to a world where beauty and inspiration are a part of everyday life.
"A Soolip Wedding was conceived as a celebration of inspiration and discovery of amazing style," said Wanda Wen, co-founder of Soolip and creator of A Soolip Wedding. "This year's event, held in a hip, exotic, historic hotel, will overwhelm the senses and sparkle our guests' imagination with rich Moroccan decor and colorful Indian tents," adds Wen.
This intent they accomplished perfectly. First off they had an amazing venue location, the beautiful and not well enough known Hotel Figueroa in downtown L.A. (an amazing piece of Los Angeles' architecture). Then they filled it with hand-selected designers, artisans, entertainers and producers who all endeavored to bring to the bride her vision of a perfect wedding. This is an event which makes the process of planning a wedding as fun as the wedding day itself.

"Los Angeles Weddings and A Soolip Wedding form a perfect union as they both offer the contemporary, sophisticated bride inspiration to create a wedding which is tasteful, chic and highly personalized," says Alan Klein, publisher of Los Angeles magazine and Los Angeles Weddings.
Wanda Wen, Soolip's founder and creative director, together with partner Grant Forsberg, opened Soolip in 1995, out of a life-long passion for letter writing and the paper arts. What initially started as a closet-full of papers and odd little treasures is now a collection of three charming boutiques along Melrose Avenue in the heart of Los Angeles' Design District, celebrating beauty and inspired design in paper and home.
Whether you were a bride, a member of the wedding party or a hopeful onlooker. A Soolip Wedding presented a marriage of inspiration, beauty and elegant offerings for all.
