Taking pictures as well as still video used to be a very painful task; however, the FinePix Z800EXR camera has emerged and evolved with today’s technology. The latest tricks and gadgets has made what once was tedious and painful, a simple and fun task. This camera has multiple new features as well as updated technology which work together to create this ‘pocket-size studio’ at a compelling price.

The FinePix Z800EXR camera displays a rich 460k-pixel 3.5 inch touch screen display panel which allows you to navigate freely through the cameras many functions. Memories arise at your fingertips with the simple touch of your finger, allowing you to navigate freely and view pictures in high resolution. Dual Direction GUI and Dual Image Display work hand in hand to make traveling through all of the functions smooth and painless. Dual Direction GUI automatically detects the direction of the camera and will switch the direction of the menu button according. This is handy when being used for shooting, playback, multi-viewing and image search. Dual Image Display splits the screen so you are able to view multiple images at once, which is a prime feature for the users because it saves time by allowing you to easily locate the photos you wish to use.

As if taking a picture with the FinePix Z800EXR camera couldn’t get any easier, it now introduces the next generation EXR sensor “Phase Detection pixel built-in CCD” which begins to realize hybrid high speed auto focus. This option does the deciding for you and chooses between two focusing systems on the camera to deliver ultimate results. Phase Detection AF and Contrast Detection AF work well in various settings. Where the setting is bright, high-contrast, or dark and uneven backgrounds, Phase Detection AF and Contrast AF weigh the amount of light and contrast in the scene to display the ultimate picture.

I’m sure an unsteady hand has been a problem with some individuals and taking pictures in the past. Not to worry! The FinePix Z800EXR camera is enhanced with a gyro sensor which further improves the image stabilizer. The FinePix Z800EXR also deploys higher ISO sensitivity to automatically increase shutter speeds and CCD Sensor Shift Stabilization which works together to counteract the problems that occur with a shaky hand which ultimately reduces blur.

Everyday technology is improving, and the FinePix Z800EXR proves to be no different. Face Recognition Technology is a new feature that allows you to identify the people in your pictures by frame. You can pre-program up to eight people in to the camera. You can even separate accordingly to category (e.g. friends/family/coworkers) and also add date of their birthday. The next time you take a picture of the person pre-programmed into your camera, the camera will optimize the settings in your camera accordingly to that individual to ensure the focus and exposure is best suited for that particular person verses other people in the same frame.

Touch Screen

All in all the FinePix Z800EXR camera makes taking pictures and videos hassel free. With EXR AUTO Technology, Touch Shot, ‘Super Intelligent’ Flash, Face Detection and Automatic Red-eye Removal, Pet Detection, Easy Web Upload, as well as the previous features the Fujifilm FinePix Z800EXR camera is remarkable and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to improve the quality of their pictures effortlessly.
