The SD card
I love taking pictures and this card could have held all 3500 I've taken in the last 6 months.
Especially with the rising popularity of video clips you'll want as much space as possible to hold all your videos to show off on YouTube and MySpace.
This card can write 9MB/sec and read 10MB/sec. With a 6MP camera you can hold approximately 4444 photos on this card and if you have a 12MP camera you can hold about 2222 photos according to SanDisk’s printed estimates. The new card uses the SDHC standard but is the same size and look as the old SD standard. The only difference is a new SDHC symbol on the label. The card is not backwards compatible with older readers or cameras. I found this out by not being able to use it with my memory card reader or older cameras.
The Reader
The package comes bundled with the SanDisk MicroMate USB 2.0 reader. The reader
retails for $19.99 but comes free with the SD card. The SDHC reader is backwards compatible so you can use your old SD
cards in the MicroMate reader. This is a good call on SanDisk to bundle this reader with their new card.
The memory card comes with a lifetime limited warrantee. The MicroMate reader comes with a two year limited warrantee.

The 4GB SDHC card comes with a SDHC compatible reader
SDHC
It was designed for the 5MP+ cameras that are out and to come using the new
SDHC standard. This new standard allows new capacities of 4GB to 32GB. Only
newer cameras will be able to Handle this new SDHC standard.
The package
clearly states on the front “Designed for high capacity SDHC devices” but I
imagine many consumers will not notice this and find it imcompatible with
their camera.

Overall
Finally we
have a nice 4GB SD card from SanDisk. This is big enough to be the last SD card you will need. The new 4GB SD card bundled with the new MicroMate Reader will provide all the needed capacity for thouse who have purchased the higher megapixal cameras lately. The current retail price is $89.99 (used to be $220) and the street price as of August 2007 is $75. At this price it's definatly worth purchasing if your camera is compatible.

camera compatibility list can be found from SanDisk here:
