To me the idea of a household phone seemed so retro, something of the 90’s, and a non-existing trend that individuals of this day and age did not follow. However, my perception on the household phone has changed once I found out about the Panasonic KX-TG7642 household phone set. Panasonic has remodeled and revamped the average household phone; this phone will have consumers charging to their local electronic stores to get their hands on the Panasonic KX-TG7642.

The Panasonic KX-TG7642

Cell phones are our prime source for communication these days. For me, it’s easy, transportable, and you can take your charger anywhere and even have a car charger. All in all, the cell phone has made everyday communication easier and I did not see a need for a home phone system. On the other hand, Panasonic, the leading brand in cordless home telephone systems has recently introduced the Panasonic KX-TG7642 The 'link to cell' Bluetooth cellular convergence solution that comes with two handsets. Collectively Panasonic has merged the two ideas and have created the Panasonic KX-TG7642, which ultimately makes everyday communication simple, thus providing use for both the home phone and the cell phone.

The Panasonic KX-TG7642 has remarkable components that combine to make this phone not only compatible with most individuals today, but it is retailed at a relatively cheap price, especially when all of its top of the line functions are taken into consideration. The Panasonic KX-TG7642 is listed at $99.95, but you can find it as low as $93.00 and can be found online or at your local electronics store. Some of the features this phone offers are: range, clarity, Bluetooth, tone equalizer, intelligent eco mode, power back up operation and many more functions. The Panasonic KX-TG7642 has the ability to link up to your cell phone. This provides the users with freedom to roam within their house. Personally, I carry my cell phone all throughout the house and it does get sort of tedious. With this new phone, it gives you the ability to link your cell phone to your household phone system, which allows you to hear both your ‘cell phone’ and household phone. This is done with the Bluetooth coverage solution. You simply set the phone base where you are able to receive clear cell phone signal, and the two phones are instantly linked up by the Bluetooth. The home phone system will ring once they are connected, and you can even transfer up to 600 entries from your cell phone to your home phone. You also have the option to differentiate between your cell phone calls and home calls, by setting a different ringtone on the mobile device.

Another neat feature this phone provides is the tone equalizer. Depending on the particular hearing loss, users may boost bass, mid range, or treble to make the callers voices easier to understand. It also provides the ‘intelligent eco mode’, which lowers the power consumption when using the handset close to the base unit. Most household phones that I have used in the past have a battery life of a few hours, I couldn’t be on the phone for more than an hour without the battery diminishing quickly and cutting off, however with the Panasonic KX-TG7642 this is not the case. This phone takes 7 hours to charge but has a battery life of 13 hours when talking on the phone, and an amazing 11 days if it’s on standby. Unlike most cordless phones that may stop working if there is a power outage, the Panasonic KX-TG7642 handset batteries will power the base unit for up to 13 hours when the electricity is out. Users will have peace of mind and can rest assure that they will not lose all contact because of a simple power outage. The KX-TG7642 has text to speech technology which announces caller ID information in between rings, so users can ignore calls they do not wish to answer. It also increases the frequency of error correction up to 80x, and is engineered to work at 1.9 GHz frequency.

All in all I was impressed by the Panasonic KX-TG7642 and would recommend it. It not only makes calling simple, but it provides a range of options including prime functions that further prove the quality and capability of the phone and retails at a compelling price. You should all go out and grab this hot item before they are swept off of the shelf!
