Celebrate Your Dog at Sniff & Barkens

It’s a dog’s life. And no one celebrates the life of dogs quite like Sniff & Barkens. The new doggie lifestyle publication celebrates the bond between us and our canine companions.

The site is inspiring and entertaining, insightful and humorous, and celebrates our relationship to dogs by exploring the experience of life through their eyes. It publishes essays, interviews, short fiction and editorials from its team of experts.

Running like the wind

What sets Sniff & Barkens apart from other publications is their perspective of adopting a dog’s-eye view of the world. The result is an immersive online experience that is not only amusing, but meaningful and thought-provoking.

Canine care is not as simple as feeding our dogs and picking up poop. Check out the company’s Tips section for a guide on advice from experts that will help in understanding your dog’s needs. For fun, check out the Contest page. There’s nothing quite as enjoyable as a Halloween costume of a dog dressed as a superhero. The Collections section, meanwhile, is a thematic grouping, with topics such as, “Lap Dogs for Life,” “Famous Dogs of” and “When Yorkies Dress up.”

Where's my Lois Lane

Dogs are front and center in the photography section of the publication. Dog guardians can submit pooch-perfect portraits and add a quote or story from their four-legged friend.

Sniff & Barkens was founded by Joe Pappalardo based on his love for all things canine. He started the company after he retired from over 23 years in the business world, and continues to serve on the board for several nonprofits, including Boys and Girls Club in Vero Beach, Florida. Guy Derry, the company’s CEO, is a digital media guru who utilizes his talents and digital design to stay ahead of the game when it comes to new web technologies. Other team members include Nina Trasoff, former reporter, news anchor and award-winning documentarian and Aaron Band, the company’s social media expert.

Another member of the Sniff & Barkens team is Amy Robinson, an animal behavior specialist. She has been featured as a pet expert on Lifetime, is certified for disaster animal rescue, and is a certified evaluator and team member for Therapy Dogs International.
