Step right in
If you have always wanted a CD to reduce your animal’s separation anxiety, I know where you can get it. If you are looking for vegan and/ or gluten free foods, I know where you can get it. And I even know where you can get salt lamps that purify the air. In fact, if you go to” Ethical Planet” in Evanston you can get things you didn’t even know you wanted. That’s what happened to me. I went in to see what I could see and there were more items packed into the space of a glorified closet than I could imagine. And I wanted one of everything. It is situated just across from Evanston’s main Post Office and it is so unassuming, it is easy to miss. But that would be a loss.

Looking at greeting cards
Inside you can find hard to locate items such as vegan, gluten free, non-animal items, and local creations. These include; food, clothing, books, purses and belts, greeting cards, personal items, candles, soaps, jewelry and more than I can remember. The amazing thing to me is that in this small space, which is energy efficient, nothing seems cluttered or confused and each items is attractive and appealing.

Orange dot marks gluten free
I am always looking for vegetarian, gluten free items and when I noticed a new product, I tried it and it was so good, I went back to get more. I also discovered that there are a few prepared meals from restaurants as far away as Hyde Park and as close as Evanston. And Evanston artisans are busy supplying Fran Harvath with candles, soaps, jewelry, greeting cards, food and more. They are wonderful products and truly local!
