Nathan Payant CD Perks Ears of James Taylor Fans

(Mitchell, SD)-- After a year of writing and recording, acoustic singer/songwriter, NathanPayant has released his first CD, "Ready to Fall." The CD is being released byindependent record label, C-Sharp Productions. The label has set up a site at

"This is the beginning of an awesome chapter in my life. Since it is my first CD, I am kind of nervous," Payant explains. "I want people to like my music."

Judging by the pre-release response, Payant should not be too nervous. He has beenbooked at some of the biggest festivals and fairs in his home state of South Dakota. He also has had his songs downloaded over 11,000 times in just under a year. Like many singer/songwriters like John Mayer, James Taylor or Jason Mraz, Payant reaches fans by getting out and performing live. Payant is often called a new James Taylor.

"Nathan has recorded some songs that people just connect with on this project," ChadSharp of C-Sharp Productions says. "I think the project is a good representation of whatNathan does live. It is very simple, yet powerful."

Payant is a native of Redfield, a small town in South Dakota. He currently is finishing up getting a music degree at Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD.
