Social Media Week Goes Live In Historic Hollywood

(Los Angeles)...Hollywood gets even busier next week when thousands of social tech and digital lifestyle fans descend on LA for the third annual launch of Social Media Week Los Angeles.

Under the 2012 global theme of “Empowering Change through Collaboration,” this year’s SMWLA co-produced by Tubefilter and Crowdcentric, explores the intersection of social technology and entertainment. With over 100 free events, the week is packed with panels, presentations, demos, workshops, talks, conversations, and of course, parties!

Janelle Monáe will perform

One of the chief celebrations of the week is free concert hosted by Nokia and SMWLA featuring Grammy-nominated R&B singer Janelle Monáe for 2000 fans at Club Nokia.

Other key events include a live-taping of Larry King Now featuring King and rapper Nick Cannon
