Qualcomm presents The Snapdragon Gaming World Record Challenge for Entry in Guinness Book of World Records for Longest Video Games Marathon Playing on a Tablet


Qualcomm, through its Snapdragon Gaming World Record Challenge, invited gaming contestants, media and special guests to the Lexington Social House in the heart of Hollywood last night as part of their attempt to seek out serious gamers, to set the world record for the longest video games marathon playing on a tablet for entry into The Guinness Book of World Records.

Those gathered were able to witness dozens of participants as they battled it out at the qualification party for the top 50 spots to win a seat in the world record breaking tournament at E3 on June 5 and 6 with $50,000 worth of cash prizes, including the $20,000 grand prize on the line. It will take place in the Gilbert Lindsey Plaza  in front of the Los Angeles Convention Center.


The party had delicious passed appetizers and an open bar and was packed with Qualcomm representatives who were very friendly and willing and able to answer any and all questions. There was also someone from Gameloft, one of the sponsors of the evening. AT&T, another sponsor had provided lots of Samsung tablets for the three rounds of gaming with the winners assured a spot to compete at E3.


The Leaderboard keep everyone informed

During E3, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon all-in-one mobile processors will ensure that gamers competing will experience the most immersive mobile gaming experience over the course of the two-day tournament. Snapdragon processors will fuel the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, giving gamers an enduring, and optimal, gaming experience with lightning fast speeds and rich graphics.

The Snapdragon Gaming World Record Challenge is in collaboration with AT&T, and will feature games from Gameloft, Glu, Sega, NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc., Halfbrick and Com2Us.
