I am looking for the best Endodontist in Beverly Hills. When I went to my dentist due to a chipped filling in my second molar, the first thing he told me is that I needed a root canal and that he does not do root canals in molars! This is because there are four roots in molars compared to one or two in the front teeth. There are special doctors called Endodontists* and they are qualified to work on the complexities involved with doing a root canal to a molar. These doctors use microscopes and perform a very delicate procedure making sure that there will be no problems in the future.
So I am on my search to find the very best Endodontist in the Beverly Hills area and will report what I find soon! I need to get this tooth taken care of because when you need a root canal, you need it ASAP so the tooth does not die and require an extraction and a dental implant that takes seven months and costs lots!
*Wikipedia definition of Endodontist:
Endodontics (from the Greek endo "inside"; and odons "tooth") is one of the dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association, Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, and deals with the tooth pulpand the tissues surrounding the root of a tooth. Endodontists perform a variety of procedures including root canal therapy, endodontic retreatment, surgery, treating cracked teeth, and treating dental trauma. Root canal therapy is one of the most common procedures. If the pulp (containing nerves, arterioles, venules, lymphatic tissue, and fibrous tissue) becomes diseased or injured, endodontic treatment is required to save the tooth.
