LASplash.com: Los Angeles Reviews SYNER-G Studio for Pilates and Wellness Review: Workouts for the Body, Mind and Soul By Jillie Reil
SYNER-G owner, Erin Huggins, has been a certified Pilates practitioner for over 12 years with an extensive list of clients in the entertainment industry. She has also worked directly with physical therapists to treat patients suffering from fibromyalgia, knee injuries, and back pain. Erin is also a member of the Pilates Method Alliance and the North American Studio Alliance, an independent alliance for the community of mind/body professionals.
The Pilates Method is used for strength training, rehabilitation from injury, and improving posture and reducing back pain as it is a very effective method for strengthening your core. SYNER-G offers a Pilates Mat Class—beginner to advance Pilates techniques, Bounce Back—strengthening the back, Springboard Class—controlled use of the springs, and Slow Motion—controlled movements and breathing, and Reformer Class—appropriate use of the reformer apparatus.
Since I had previous Pilates experience, I decided to give the group reformer class a whirl. (Beginners must take at least 5 private or semi-private sessions before being admitted to a group class to fully understand the basic technique and get the most out of a group class.) Once you have the technique down, the Reformer Class proves to take those moves into a more cardiovascular routine.

I wrapped up my experience at the SYNER-G Studio for Pilates and Wellness with an amazing massage by Brooke’s Hands Therapeutic Massage, which couldn’t be a better name. Brooke Wescott is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Physical Therapy Aide as well as an active member of the Association Massage Bodyworkers Professionals, and has studied multiple disciplines of continuing massage education techniques. She applies and adjusts just the right pressure based on her client’s desires, which are expressed during a brief consultation prior to the massage and feedback during the massage. Walking into her room, I was instantly at peace with her beautiful choice of green color, décor, aromatherapy, and sound (being a massage junkie, I can appreciate the importance of a relaxing atmosphere). Adding her own twists to the traditional Swedish massage, Brooke’s Hands melted all my stresses of the week away.
Refer five friends, and receive one complimentary massage! Brooke’s Hands also offers other special packages and discounts at www.brookeshands.com. BROOKE’S HANDS
