LushSpa - The Fun Spa!

LushSpaa.k.a. the Fun Spa, had its opening party on February 25th, with a reception benefiting Friends And Helpers (a grass-roots organization headed by Melissa Beyeler, wife of KROQ DJ Kevin of Kevin & Bean, assisting people whose families have been torn apart by violence).

The reception was lovely, held in the elegant house on Laurel Canyon in Studio City that houses this fun new day spa.  Libations flowed freely, as did hors d'oeuvres, and the eclectic crowd mingled, looked around, and bought up all the cute LushSpa t-shirts, as well as beauty products and very reasonably priced jewelry and accessories.

   
What sets LushSpa apart is its focus on having an all-around good time.  The atmosphere isnt new-agey or exclusive.  In fact, you can bring your own music for your treatment, then relax with a glass of wine afterward.  The spa is the brainchild of partners Gina Kimmel (wife of Jimmy Kimmel), Lynette Carolla (wife of Adam Carolla), and Kim Sudhalter (of Urban Legend PR).  Treatments include The LushSpa Cocktail Facial, The Dirty Martini mud mask, The Rum Cooler eye treatment, and for teens, natch, The Shirley Temple facial.  A massage treatment that seems destined to be popular is The Hangover Remedy, offered Sat/Sun mornings...
Laser hair removal, waxing, and mani/pedis are also available, as are services by Dr. Bruce Heischober (of KROQs Loveline), which include thermage, fotofacials, botox and meso therapy.  The spa stays open late upon request, and the entire facility is available for special events, i.e. bridal showers, wrap parties, etc., and it seems a perfect place to have an event, what with the cozy, fun atmosphere and wide variety of services offeredtheres bound to be something for everyone!
