The OC BBQ Bonanza is Finger licking good!
With an expected crowd of up to 15,000 people, ready to eat ribs, chicken, pork and beef along with some amazing side dishes. The event organizers better be ready for the hungry masses.
Some of the worlds best barbecue cooking teams will vie for the title of “Best in Orange County” in three different categories: sauce, ribs, and a people’s choice award will be given. The award will be given out on Sunday with the judging on Saturday.
For the kids there is a a fun zone area with bounce houses and blow up slides. Merchants are selling their wares and you can even play miniature golf at the Sierra Mist booth. Fun times!!!
During the four-day competition, ticket holders will cast their vote for the best team. There will be a first, second, and third place winner for each of the rib and sauce categories selected by a panel of judges.
There will be six teams competing for those coveted trophies. The teams are:
Aussom Aussie, winner of more than 200 awards in the U.S. and Canada.
Porky-N-Beans, winner of numerous rib cook-off titles, including Best Ribs in America.
Howlin' Coyote Southwest BBQ, specializing in St. Louis-style pork spare ribs.
Cowboys Barbeque & Rib Co., winner of more than 150 regional, national and international titles.
Johnson's Bar-B-Que, winner of more than 150 awards.
KC BBQ Team, featuring its acclaimed KC-style ribs and special barbecue sauce.

If you are all about the food and music then you will want to stay and listen to some of the musical groups, like Bennie and the Swamp Gators, Texas House Party, Marcel Garcia and the Vaquetones and Grand Junction. There is a dance floor and even lessons for those that want to learn some new dance steps, and for those that don’t, you can just sit, relax, and listen to the rip roaring sounds of the evening.
