Thanksgiving Ballroom Brunch

Island’s ballroom décor will replicate the popular Oak Grill alfresco patio, while the musical sounds of the Fireside Lounge fill the ballroom with a smoldering live acoustical guitar performance. Hosted activities for children include craft projects and other interactive activities directed by a focused child entertainment professional. NFL games will be broadcast from the lounge near the ballroom.  This is the perfect opportunity to snap a photo for a holiday card at the on-site photo booth.

Executive Chef David Man creates a locally sourced, globally inspired Thanksgiving meal artfully plated and creatively served.  Choices include light, clean and fresh fare rather than heavy dishes.   The buffet includes fresh fall produce, hand selected from local growers, with an array of interactive stations where the culinary team will prepare food to taste based on each customer’s palate.  Offerings include made to order benedicts and savory omelets, a fresh seafood assortment, a carving station with free range organic turkey, as well as holiday sides and an assortment of delectable desserts. Zinc at Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach is serving up a fabulous four-course meal on Thanksgiving for $39.

Your Thanksgiving feast kicks off with a yellow corn bisque which if followed by the holiday kale salad. The holiday kale salad is packed with so many great ingredients it will make you feel a little better about your feasting as it contains; black kale, red quinoa, sundried cranberries, toasted walnuts, Bartlett pears, goat cheese and a cider poached pear vinaigrette. The main course gives you the option of choosing a hearty turkey pot pie or the pan-fried turkey tender. 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters

6-8 Mint Leaves

2 oz. Reilly’s Rock & Rye Ginger Whiskey

¾ oz. Bertina Elderflower
