Sweetgreen Debuts in West Hollywood - Bringing Fresh and Seasonal Food to your Dining Experience

It took eight years to finally make its way to Los Angeles, but Sweetgreen will finally debut in West Hollywood on May 21st. Fittingly Sweetgreen is located near the original Farmers Market to emphasize a menu that is dedicated to smartly sourced seasonal food.

Sweetgreen Founders

Founded by Nicolas Jammet, Jonathan Neman and Nathaniel Ru, Sweetgreen opened their doors in Washington DC in 2007 developing relationships with like-minded farmers and growers who value sustainability and thoughtful practices. The Sweetgreen brand stands for a commitment to delicious and healthy food with a transparent supply chain.

Sweetgreen has seasonal menu items in Los Angeles based on local ingredients including; strawberries + humboldt fog, omg omega and the mexican corn "elote" bowl featuring such ingredients as cilantro and spicy sunflower seeds and organic quinoa. A few of the regular menu items are; Rad Thai that features citrus shrimp, Kale Caesar and Spicy Sabzi with roasted organic tofu. If you really have to have it your way, that is not a problem at Sweetgreen as you can create your own dish using any of their ingredients. You can order online as well so your order is ready for you when you get to Sweetgreen.

Sweetgreen works to invest in the community of each restaurant and they also do their best to preserve and expose the natural structure of a building, no matter the cost. Finishes such as reclaimed hickory, barn board pine and bowling alley tables are tangible examples of their commitment to sustainability.

If you are looking for a healthy and fresh dining experience that you can taste in the locally grown ingredients, Sweetgreen is worth a visit. You are not only going to enjoy the food, but you might just be looking at the next evolution of restaurants.

Sweetgreen will be opening a second Southern California location, in Santa Monica, later this summer.
