On November 21, 2013 Philippe's formerly known as Philippe Chow held its grand opening in location 8620 Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills. Owners Manny Halley and Chef Philippe Chow hosted a redcarpet in the traditional red, white and blue colors, live Dj, tasty appetizers and an open bar as part of the festivities.
Beverly Hills Mayor John Hirisch assisted Halley in the ribbon cutting. Kevin Hart, Nelly, Aldo Star, Laura Govan, Gloria Govan, Safaree, Bobby Brown and other high profile celebrities also attended the event.
About Philippe’s: Philippe, the pricey Chinese restaurant known for its
Peking duck and hand-pulled noodles. In addition to the partially covered
main dining room, Philippe offers private rooms for discrete dining and a
lounge with cocktails by mixologist Ray Ewers (Black Market). Dinner
hours of operation to run Sunday to Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.,
Friday and Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to midnight, and for lunch Monday to
Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

“So they packed up their SUV and moved to Beverly…. Hills that is” It all
started when Brooklyn native Manny Halley sowed his seeds in the music
industry by promoting his recording artists through his local hair salon in
the ‘80s. Manny found business success through faith, family, hard work,
and co-ownership of different franchisees such as Popeye’s Chicken and
In 2009, in partnership with Stratis Morfogen, CEO of the Philippe Chow
Restaurant Group, which has a location in New York, Manny opened
Philippe in Los Angeles. After three and a half years on LA’s trendy
Melrose Avenue, with a regular stream of celebrities and athletes that
include Jay Leno, Oprah Winfrey, Kobe Bryant, and Carmelo Anthony,
Manny decided to move his business to Beverly Hills. It proved the cliché
that a family that prays, plays and work together will find success.
Manny has now expanded his entertainment company by forming Imani
Publishing, Imani Records and Imani Management. Beverly Hills Mayor
John Mirisch personally welcomed Philippe and the Halley’s as the new
kids on the block.
