Taste of Anaheim - A Sampling of Food and Fun

The Taste of Anaheim 2010 made its home at GardenWalk just down the road from Disneyland and provided everyone with an opportunity to try the best food that the city of Anaheim serves up.

The Taste of Anaheim served up over 50 restaurants from Anaheim inside the cozy setting of Anaheim GardenWalk. While everyone was trying some amazing food and drinks, they were also able to enjoy some private shopping as the stores in GardenWalk were open to only the people who were attending the event.

Food and drink were not the only reason to be in attendance on this night as there was non-stop music being played the entire evening. The Zippers, Platinum Rockstars and Don’t Stop Believin’ kept everyone dancing with a great assortment of rock tunes. The three bands played some of the most popular songs from the 70’s and 80’s and each group put on a great stage show. Don’t Stop Believin’ finished off the evening to standing room only group of fans that could not get enough of the set of Journey songs that were a near flawless rendition of the original act.

The Taste of Anaheim put together a great Silent Auction that helped raise money for both Leadership Anaheim and the Canyon Hills Community Council.

Silent Auction

Leadership Anaheim is a community-based program formed to promote the development of dedicated, knowledgeable people who strive to serve as Anaheim's future leaders. The organization was founded by a group of local business and civic leaders seeking to identify and inform potential leaders in the community and to encourage them to become involved in shaping Anaheim's future. Leadership Anaheim gives an extensive introduction to the City of Anaheim, as well as a basic foundation in key leadership principles.

The Canyon Hills Community Council is a non-political grass-roots group of local citizens, businesses and other organizations who joined together in 1988 to provide safe and sane family entertainment while celebrating our freedom and the birth of our Nation.  This is the 22nd 4th of July Celebration and it is dependent on everyone’s participation and donations.  The Anaheim Chamber of Commerce, the planning organization for the Taste of Anaheim and the Canyon Hills Community Council put together the Silent Auction during the “Taste” that helped raise funds for the 4th of July Fireworks (being held on July 3 this year.).  In addition the funds raised will help support the Mary Castle Scholarship program of two $1000 scholarships, the Miss Anaheim Hills Pageant, the Mr. & Mrs. Senior program, Citizen of the Year and of course the entire day long 4th of July Celebration (July 3rd this year only).
