Buca di Beppo
Planet Hollywood Shareholders, Sylvester Stallone and Robert Earl celebrated the purchase of Buca di Beppo, an Italian restaurant chain, at Universal City Walk on Wednesday January 28th.

Ah The Smell of Fresh Lemons
Another reason for the celebration was to commemorate their business relationship with Danny DeVito and his delicious Premium Limoncello liqueur. A portion of the proceeds from Limoncello sales will be going to benefit The Heart Association.

Charlie Sheen and his wife Brooke Allen were on hand to join the celebration although both declined to take a sip of Danny’s Limoncello. Charlie doesn’t drink at all and Brooke and Charlie are expecting their first baby. And just a little digression that has nothing to do with this story: Don’t you just love Two and a Half Men!

Photographers, Video Crews & Reporters Take Their Places for Press Conference
The press was at Buca di Beppo in force including Channel 11, Extra, and a room full of photogs, videographers and reporters from many different publications, all standing around and waiting an hour after the expected start time. One of the stars got caught in rush hour traffic. While we passed the time, waiters strolled around us with trays of tasty appetizers including tomatoes, basil and fresh mozzarella cheese, fried mozzarella with tomato sauce and margherita pizzas.

Delicious Bruschetta Served by Friendly Staff
During the press conference everyone was given glasses of Danny DeVito’s Limoncello. I tried it, but maybe because I usually only drink champagne or wine, for me it was too strong. But the Limoncello lovers amongst us seemed to love it!

A Video Interview Talking About Baby to Be

After the press conference the stars took turns doing interviews with the various reporters, and video crews and each posed for photographers, together and individually.

Among Friends
As if the appetizers didn’t have enough cheese to kick-start a coronary, the staff then brought out platters of yummy Italian dishes. They served eggplant parmegiana, chicken parmegiana, pasta with pesto, a variety of cold, creamy salads, boneless short ribs, spaghetti and meatballs, ravioli with tomato sauce covered with gooey cheese, stuffed shells with spicy sausage, and a few other rich Italian delicacies.

Gotta Love the Danny Sign
Buca di Beppo has 100 restaurants nationwide and they all serve authentic Italian dishes passed down from generation to generation. Many originate from the Southern region of Calabria, but they offer Northern Italian favorites too. One of their specialties is Fresh Mozzarella Cheese.

Fun Decor

Fun Photos on the Wall
The restaurant is filled with bright walls and lively décor, and tons of beautiful, funny or just plain cool photos. Each room is filled with unique items that make Buca di Beppo really different from your standard Italian eatery. One fun table is in the kitchen, where a small group can watch the chef’s action in the kitchen while they dine.
