The Samba Brazilian Steak House spent several months doing a makeover on the interior, giving the patron a beautiful new look on the shore of Redondo Beach, but thankfully the tasty Brazilian dishes and the enticing atmophere stayed the same.

The Churrasco Feast is something that must be experienced to truly be appreciated. If you enjoy meat and lots of it, you will not find anything like this anywhere.  Trust me, “Feast” is the appropriate word.

Samba offers a great buffet that includes; shrimp, tender ribs, pasta, vegetables and soups, including a flavorful roasted red bell pepper soup. The buffet is really just a warm-up: the night begins once the servers start bringing the meats to the table. By the end of the night your head will be spinning as your try to keep up with all of the servers and varieties of meats that never stop coming.

The meat is brought to you on skewers and sliced by hand by the servers. Every piece is sizzling hot and fresh, right off the grill. If you can’t find at least a few to love by the end of the night, clearly you don’t like meat, as there are around 10-12 varieties being brought out on any given night!  The picanha was the meat of the night in my opinion, a sirloin steak with a Brazilian flavor, prepared to a juicy, tender perfection.  Other items that were brought out included bacon wrapped turkey, Brazilian sausage, chicken legs, garlic or pepper seasoned beef, along with pork and lamb.  It really is endless and the best part is that you never go more than a few minutes before the next meat is being brought to your table.

If you enjoy crab legs, you can go with the “Gaucho’s Feast” and on the weekend from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Samba offers a Champagne Brunch.

By the end of the night it will be hard to decide what is more memorable, all of the Brazilian flavored food or the Brazilian Carnival type celebration that is in full effect every night at Samba. The Samba dance show and music giving you a true Brazilian feel and if you are in the mood you can even hop out of your seat and join the dancers, making for a fun and memorable evening.

If you are a lobster lover, there are two very original dishes on the menu that you must try. First off, the lobster tempura as an appetizer is a great way to begin your dinner.  As for the main dish, Samba offers Lobster Mac N’ Cheese. This dish is a macaroni with a gruyere cheese sauce and sautéed lobster meat.

Samba also might introduce you to a new spirit that will certainly grab you at first taste. Cachaca is a Brazilian liqueur that is the main liquer in a number of drinks served at Samba.  If you are a fan of the Mojito, you will love the Caiprinhas, which gives you an even more flavorful and slightly sweeter tasty drink.

Samba owner George Moussalli closed down Samba in 2007 to remodel and update the restaurant, and the results really paid off. The restaurant came back with a newer, modern, chic appearance.  You can get a feel as you walk through the restaurant that every detail was thought of. The most eye-catching part is the new bar, which overlooks the ocean and is filled with white couches that give you a very relaxed feeling, certainly a place that one would want to just come and hang out to enjoy some appetizers and Brazilian drinks even if you aren’t going to stay for dinner. To go along with a new look, the staff that was put together is first-class.  They are all well informed, pleasant and make you feel as though you are the only person in the restaurant.

In addition Samba can handle your next special event. Whether it is a wedding, birthday party, or any other celebration, you will find no better atmosphere to celebrate than the Samba 150-person banquet room overlooking the ocean.
